چکیده    There are currently major concerns about the smuggling of explosives and radioactive materials for terrorist purposes. hence, scientists are always looking for a technique to deal with this issue. muonic imaging system is one of the novel imaging systems that can help us confrontation with this problem. this technology is efficient in industrial, military and defense fields. cosmic muons have an unlimited source and are produced naturally in the atmosphere, and there is no need to protect employees from radiation when using them. these factors give cosmic muons an advantage over other particles used in imaging. in this research, using fluka software, the energy spectrum of cosmic muons in latitude and longitude related to the city of tehran has been calculated, then, imaging simulation of explosives and radioactive materials based on the scattering angle of landing muons in collision with the target material was investigated. the results show that muonic imaging of radioactive agents that have a high atomic number and high density is possible due to the high penetration power of cosmic muons. the resulting images also show that this technique has the ability to separate different materials from each other and the boundary between materials.
