چکیده    A vast array of colorants obtained from natural sources such as plants have been scrutinized in recent years for their use in different kinds of applications. research into new natural dyes sources along with eco-friendly and cost-effective technologies for their application have greatly aided in widening the scope of natural dyes in various industrials such as handmade carpet. red berry (morus rubra fruits) is a fruit that is rich of anthocyanin dyes (mainly consisting of cyanidine 3-glycoside). in this research, red berry has been used as a natural dye for dyeing silk fibers. in this study, different acids such as acetic, sulfuric, oxalic, and citric acid were used. also, different mordants such as aluminum (alum), iron, copper, tin and nickel were used. dyeing has been done using three methods of pre-, meta- and post-mordanting. the results show that for dyeing silk fibers with red berry dye, it is necessary to use mordant to create high wash and light fastness and use acid to absorb high dye. the best method for dyeing silk fibers with red berry dye is the meta-mordanting method. also, changing the type of mordant and acid has changed the shade obtained from red berry dye. red and deep purple are two main shades of silk fibers dyed with red berry fruit.

Abstract    A vast array of colorants obtained from natural sources such as plants have been scrutinized in recent years for their use in different kinds of applications.
