چکیده    Low molecular weight silanol functional intermediate resin with phenyl/propyl ratio 2.7/1.0 and average molecular weight 2400 was used to react with 2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate to prepare silanol modified acrylic monomer. then the monomer was reacted with styrene, butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate and di methyl amino ethyl methacrylate at different mol ratio by using 2,2'-azobis(isobutyronitrile) as initiator in butyl glycol and isopropanol to obtain cationic silanol modified acrylic resin. the cationic resin was neutralized by lactic acid and dispersed in water. the ced process was carried out at 100 v for 150 seconds to obtain a dry film thickness of 25±2 μm. fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ftir), gpc (molecular weight), glass transition temperature and viscosity measurements were used to characterize the synthesized cationic acrylic modified resin. according to the colorimetric data the new cationic resin is non-yellowing in high backing temperature and has excellent application properties.

Abstract    Low molecular weight silanol functional intermediate resin with phenyl/propyl ratio 2.7/1.0 and average molecular weight 2400 was used to react with 2-hydroxy ethyl methacrylate to prepare silanol modified acrylic monomer.
