|
Ph-sensitive poly melamine formaldehyde microcapsules containing 8-hydroxyquinoline inhibitor were prepared as an in vitro corrosion inhibitor. the poly melamine formaldehyde microcapsule was detected by fourier transform spectroscopy (ftir). the particle size and surface morphology of microcapsules were determined by scanning electron microscopy (sem). to ensure the encapsulation of the inhibitor inside the microcapsules and to determine the core content, a thermogravimetric weight test (tga) was performed, the results of which confirmed the presence of the inhibitor in the core and its amount. release of corrosion inhibitor from microcapsules, followed by uv visible test, showed a significant corrosion inhibition in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (eis) test.

Abstract
|
PH-sensitive poly melamine formaldehyde microcapsules containing 8-hydroxyquinoline inhibitor were prepared as an in vitro corrosion inhibitor. The poly melamine formaldehyde microcapsule was detected by Fourier transform spectroscopy (FTIR). The particle size and surface morphology of microcapsules were determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To ensure the encapsulation of the inhibitor inside the microcapsules and to determine the core content, a thermogravimetric weight test (TGA) was performed, the results of which confirmed the presence of the inhibitor in the core and its amount. Release of corrosion inhibitor from microcapsules, followed by UV visible test, showed a significant corrosion inhibition in electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) test.
