چکیده    Purpose and method: in the recent years, with the publication of issue 21 and the addition of blast waves to the sixth issue, the importance of investigating the effect of the blast waves on the various sections of the structure became more specific. therefore, considering the importance of this issue, the present study investigates the performance of steel shear walls against blast waves. for modeling, the abaqus 6 10 finite element software was used. the type of analysis was nonlinear dynamical and the conwep method was used to investigate the effect of the blast waves. the results showed that the use of steel shear walls with high wavelength sheets could increase their safety against blast waves and reduce the damage caused to the structure. also, the use of frp sheets does not have much effect on the behavior of steel shear walls and decreases with increasing droplet, energy absorption and displacement.
