tuneable optical field distribution of plasmonic bowtie nanoantenna

Modification of optical field distribution concentrated in the gap space of a gold bowtie nanoantenna is reported in this paper. asymmetric field profile of nanoantenna owning the same plasmon resonance characteristics is resulted due to introducing a plasmonic nano particle within the structure. geometrical and dimensional parameters of the combined structure are selected in order to control the improvement of the optical electric field intensity in vicinity of triangle arms of the bowtie nanoantenna. fdtd simulation results are presented.
