جایگاه فناوری اطلاعات در عملیات حسابداری

فناوری اطلاعات با ورود به حسابداری به سرعت به فناوری غالب در این حوزه بدل شد و تاثیری شگرف بر این بخش نهاد. اهمیت این فناوری به گونه‌ای بوده که سرمایه‌گذاریهای فراوانی در جهان و ایران به آن اختصاص داده شده است. با این وجود، شواهد نشان می‌دهند که کارایی و اثربخشی مورد انتظار از سرمایه‌گذاری در این حوزه به دست نیامده است. مطالعات و پژوهشهای پیشین نشان می‌دهند که یکی از عوامل موثر بر موفقیت کاربرد فناوری اطلاعات، آگاهی از این فناوری و کاربردهای آن است. یکی از وظایف اصلی حسابداران، ارائه اطلاعات برای ارتقای سطح تصمیم‌گیری مدیران است. بنابراین فناوری اطلاعات زیر بنای اطلاعات حسابداری می‌باشد. یکی از بزگترین تاثیراتی که فناوری اطلاعات در حسابداری دارد توانمندسازی سازمانها در ضبط و نگهداری معاملات مالی خود است. سازمانها با بهره مندی از سیستمهای اطلاعات سازمانی قادر خواهند بود تا به تسریع فرایند پردازش، و بهبود دقت و سرعت عمل در گزارشها پرداخته و در بازارهای جهانی به مزیت رقابتی دست یابند.
