چکیده    Research about renewable technologies for thermal energy collection is crucial when critical problems such as climate change, global warming, or environmental pollution are concerned. transforming solar energy into thermal energy through asphalt solar collectors might help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fossil fuel consumption. in this paper, an asphalt solar collector was constructed, and a numerical model was developed and validated by the obtained experimental data. the constructed collector was analyzed under field conditions, and numerous sensors monitored its heat dynamics. then, the cfd model was used to analyze the flow dynamics, temperature distribution, and heat penetration inside the pavement. the results show that the heat that penetrates the asphalt pavement can be used to heat the flowing air for periods when incoming solar energy is unavailable.
