چکیده    It is considered that research independence is a key factor for trustworthy and reliable results, or at least it is a common issue in the modern era. independence of research refers to the autonomy of researchers and is a matter of research ethics. research findings are a big source of power, and there is always a financial need in research. governments, universities, research institutes, etc., are the main sponsors. these sponsors may influence research processes and findings, due to their goals, and this affects research independence. there are other kinds of research independence, like the context in which a researcher grew up and studied, and their mental assumptions. when it comes to the social sciences and theology, ideological purposes may have more influence on research outcomes. the results of independent theological research may seem more acceptable if it is obtained step-by-step and with logical reasoning. given the diversity of religions, we are faced with a variety of arguments, which are controversial in many cases. for example, while christians' arguments for proving the existence of god are based on the trinity, it is rejected in muslim arguments. here arise three main questions: 1- are the contradictions in the theologians' arguments of the existence of god due to differences in their levels of independence? 2- can independence in theological research lead to similar arguments for the existence of god? 3- are the arguments for the existence of god more valid if the research is independently done? in this paper, according to the main arguments of the followers of the abrahamic religions, we seek to find answers to these questions. in answer to the first question, it can be said that lack of independence can lead to biased arguments but it not the cause of all the contradictions. in a sense, independence / dependence is not a quantitative subject that can be measured. in answer to the second question, we believe numerous factors can influence theologians' arguments, and controversial issues cannot always be solved just by eliminating one factor (independence / dependence). independence is a multilevel matter and therefore the researcher may be independent / dependent at different levels. in answer to the final question, which is the most important, it should be considered that the argument for the existence of god is biased, when it depends on personal intention or financial interests, etc., so it is less possible to be valid. but there is no definite reason that the argument of an independent researcher will be valid, it depends on the premise and the conclusion too.
