چکیده    Māturīdīyyah, the denomination attributed to abū manṣūr muḥammad ibn muḥammad māturīdī samarḳandī (d. 333/944), is one of the old and widespread sunni kalāmi denominations that is current among the ḥanafī muslims. the issue of human immortality and the afterlife is one of the fundamental kalāmi issues discussed by all islamic sects. like other islamic denominations, the māturīdīs also believe in the human immortality and the afterlife. one of the issues related to resurrection and the life after death is the issue of immortality as well as the kind of demonstrations offered about. by a descriptive-analytic method and by referring to the kalāmi and exegetical works of abū manṣūr māturīdī, in this article we examine what a picture he offered to prove the human immortality and what kind/s of arguments he used. māturīdī believes in the immortality of human as a composed of soul and body in the life after death; and in argumentation, although the māturīdīs in their general kalāmi system, are among the rationalist sects that besides the narrative arguments, mainly use rational arguments, in the discussion of the life after death and the human immortality, mainly take hold of the narrative arguments and some of the māturīdīs essentially called the discussions of life after death as “sam’iyyāt” (narrations). nevertheless, in explaining and interpretation of these narrative arguments, abū manṣūr māturīdī did not put aside his general rationalist approach, and with the rationalist approach, he rationally argued or at least rationally explained the narrative arguments.
