impact of tourism on sustainable rural development case study: sirvan area of sanandaj city

Today, the tourism industry as a dynamic and inclusive industry encompasses all the pillars of existence of a global society and system.one form of tourism is rural tourism, which aims at sustainable development of local communities and is considered as a tool for the economic and social development of villages and one of the modern occupations. this study investigates the role of rural tourism in sustainable development of tourism villages of sanandaj district of sirvan. the research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of descriptive-analytical method. this research uses two methods of library and field research (questionnaire) as the main tool for data collection. the results of these tests show that the employment component and subsequently the above-average income component indicate the greater role of tourism activities in these two components and the economic status of the region. the results also indicate the role of tourism activities in attracting investment in the study area. as a result, it empowers the local community and empowers them, especially women.
