   a new sustainable supplier selection method via hybridizing critic and codas methods: a lead-acid battery case study

چکیده    In the battery manufacturing industry, lead suppliers are key members of battery supply chains. they can significantly affect the sustainability of networks. considering the economic viewpoint, they can supply cheap raw materials and accordingly decrease the price of products. regarding the social responsibility viewpoint, they can provide high-quality raw materials for manufacturing highquality products. also, by on-time delivery of raw materials, they can help to guarantee the delivery reliability of products. finally, from an environmental viewpoint, green suppliers can lessen the harm to the natural environment and people’s health. the notable matter is that the defined factors could have different importance weights in the supplier selection process. also, suppliers can have a conflicting performance with regard to the defined factors. hence, ranking suppliers based on determined sustainability factors is a challenging issue. so, this paper aims to extend a hybrid multi-criteria decision-making method to rank sustainable lead suppliers efficiently. so, two effectual methods are hybridized to present a powerful decision-making tool. in the first step, the sustainability criteria are determined by the help of company executives. then, the criteria importance through intercriteria correlation method is used to assess the importance weight of the defined criteria. finally, the combinative distance-based assessment method is applied to rank the suppliers. notably, the extended method is implemented based on a real case study of selecting lead suppliers in iran. the outputs of the method show that it could efficiently rank suppliers in the case study of selecting sustainable lead suppliers.
