چکیده
|
نظریۀ احتمال و نظریۀ امکان، دو نظریۀ ریاضی برای مدل‌سازی، بررسی و تحلیل نایقینی (عدم‌اطمینان / عدم‌قطعیت) هستند. هرچند این دو نظریه از جهاتی شبیه هم هستند، ولی تفاوت‌های بنیادی با یکدیگر دارند. در این مقاله، به‌کوتاهی، شباهت‌ها و به‌ویژه تفاوت‌های این دو نظریه بررسی می‌شود. چند مثال‌ِ مقایسه‌ای ارائه می‌شود تا تفاوت‌های احتمال و امکان به‌طور ملموس و عینی روشن شود. در پایان، یک پرسش طرح می‌شود تا خوانندگان با بررسی آن، دربارۀ تفاوت احتمال و امکان بیشتر تامل کنند.

Abstract
|
probability theory and possibility theory are two mathematical theories for modeling, examining and analyzing uncertainty (uncertainty / uncertainty). although the two theories are similar in some respects, they are fundamentally different. in this article, the similarities and especially the differences between these two theories are briefly examined. several comparative examples are provided to illustrate the differences in probability and possibility in a tangible and objective way. finally, a question is posed so that readers can reflect on the difference between probability and possibility.
