investigate the effects of physical development on climate change in tehran and development an educational plan for adaptation to its effects

In this study, climate changes due to urbanization effects on weather and climate change is studied in tehran metropolis, then an educational plan for adaptation to its effects was developed. in this regards comparative method in investigating the relationship between physical development of cities and climate change in several time series was used. to evaluate climate changes caused by physical development in metropolitan, long-term meteorological mapping quantities is required. this mapping process of the calculation of time series show how the changes will happen. result shows an increase of physical development in tehran in the recent decade appears to be related to in creasing trends for values of temperature, relative humidity and calm wind. relation between temperature and city expansion was explained in different ways. the increase of calm wind may be the result of the lack of mixing of city air and its stagnation increasing tempera ture. the educational plan that developed in this study seemed to have equipped the students with good knowledge and an appreciation of the societal, environmental and personal values of the climate change. therefore climate change education activities is a way to mitigate the effects of climate change in urban area.
