چکیده    Edible dyes are a group of additives that are made naturally or artificially. synthetic dyes are added to food and drinks to restore their original appearance when color is affected by processing, storage, packaging and distribution. furthermore colors are used to make food more visually attractive to consumers.while the usage of water-soluble synthetic acid colors such as erythrosine, amaranth, or acid red is generally allowed worldwide, some basic colorants such as pararosaniline (pa), auramine o (ao), and rhodamine b(rb) are unauthorized food additives in japan, the eu,and the united states because of their toxicity. in this article, we reviewed the articles on isolation and identification of different colors in different foodstuffs.
