short survey on monitoring vibration levels in generator stator end-winding using fiber optic accelerometer

Many generators have been in use over many years. on-line monitoring can help with early detection of many conditions such as changes in end winding vibrations at an early stage. this can ideally help to prevent unscheduled and expensive outages and enable the scheduled measurement system to help extend service life. this paper reviews fiber optic acceleration sensor used to measure vibration of generator end-windings.
