The aim of this work was to produce a low cost adsorbent and ion exchanger that applying in detergent industries for this purpose, zeolite 4a as cheap mineral materials was synthesized by directly mixing of initial substances, at a temperature higher than ambient temperature the proportion of an aqueous sodium silicate and sodium aluminate solution was changed in order to formation of zeolite 4a with high crystallites the xrd results revealed that the modification has important effect on chemical structure of zeolite 4a the sem images demonstrated cubic particles the powder obtained was a zeolite 4a with particles size from 25- 45 μm and exchange capacity for calcium ion was determined 170
