The aim of this investigation is to develop the transungual drug delivery system of antifungal drug for treatment of nail fungal infection formulation was obtained using eudragit (copolymer based on methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate) as a film-forming polymer and the mixture of ethanol and ethyl acetate as a solvent system mixture polyethylene glycol (peg) 400 was also added to the mixture as a plasticizing agent the diffusion test through the bovine hooves, by using franz diffusion cell showed that the drug released through the polymer formulation was 58 times larger than the diffusion from the drug solution (drug dissolved in ethanol/ethyl acetate) with the same amount of drug and operating conditions scanning electron microscopy (sem) represented that the polymer formulation structure changed the nail surface by enhancing the swelling and pores in a whole nail structure this research confirms that the developed drug-loaded formulation could be used as a promising tool for effective therapy of nail fungal infection
