|
Regarding increment rate of drug resistance against microbial pathogens, a global search has been implemented by many researchers to find new antimicrobial agents from natural compounds with less side effects has been considered by many worldwide researchers the current study is performed to determine antimicrobial activity of green microalgae chlorella sp also, the effect of red, white led lights on the antimicrobial potential of chlorella sp in order to inhibit streptococcus mutans has been investigated for this purpose, microalgae extracts were prepared using 998% ethanol as extraction solvent and paper disc diffusion assay were used for evaluate antimicrobial activity of algae in addition, minimal inhibitory concentration (mic) of the extracts has been determined based on the result is, the extract of microalga cultivated in red light resulted in stronger antimicrobial potential compared to the white light and the minimum inhibitory of that was 10 mg/ml
