solubility measurement of cetirizine hydrochloride in acetonitrile and acetic acid and their mixtures

The solubility of drugs and pharmaceutical compounds in solvents and their mixtures are used in separation and purification in the chemical industry in this work, the solid-liquid equilibria measurements for solubility of cetirizine hydrochloride (ctz) in two solvents of acetonitrile, acetic acid and their mixtures were measured at 318/15 and 323/15 k and atmospheric pressure the solubility of this drug in acetonitrile is very low and enhances with increasing temperature on the other hand, the solubility of ctz in acetic acid is high and increases with enhancing temperature finally, the results of solubility show that the solubility ctz enhances in the mixture of acetonitriles+acetic acid with both increasing of temperature and acetic acid
