چکیده    In the present study, the cr(vi) ion removal from synthetic wastewater utilizing sawdust as a rather inexpensive adsorbent studied by the batch adsorption technique the sawdust physiochemical characterizations done through employing ftir analyze standard gibbs free energy (g ) equal to - 272 kj/mol showed simultaneous mechanism the standard free enthalpy changes (h ) equal to 3467 kj/mol revealed the endothermic nature of sorption process the adsorption complied with pseudo-second order kinetics with ksp=002 g/mgmin, qe=39 mg/g, r2=099 the adsorption parameters determined using an a-priori langmuir isotherm model the langmuir parameters a=4525 mg/g and b=091 l/mg, indicated adsorption capacity and adsorption energy, respectively considering langmuir model, the mono layer adsorption was confirmed
