چکیده    The capture of excess co2 from the atmosphere is of paramount importance as this gas plays a key role in global warming and brings about severe problems# in this paper, the co2-to-methanol conversion process as a feasible way to consume the captured co2- was studied# the effect of different components of the inlet stream was examined# another significant parameter is pressure, and the effect of this parameter was studied as well# according to the data obtained from this simulation, operating pressure has a reverse impact on production yield# by increasing the operating pressure, the lower conversion was obtained# on the other hand, the concentration of co2 affects the conversion positively, and on the higher concentration, we achieve a higher conversion rate# this process is simulated using aspen hysys v 8#8 for modeling and simulating of conversion of carbon dioxide to methanol# for this purpose, peng robinson is used as the fluid package; since it has shown better performance and less error when dealing with hydrocarbons in comparison with other equations#
