|
Biotrickling filter (btf) is one of the emerging and promising technologies for pollutant treatment# as well, activated sludge considers an enriched sample of denitrifying bacteria, which, is required for nitrous oxides treatment# in this study, a btf system inoculated by an activated sludge was used for n2o removal from a waste gas stream under anoxic condition# the result showed a 70 % removal at n2o initial concentration of 5807 ppm# moreover, the filter achieved elimination capacity of 49 g n2o m-3 h-1 of n2o at empty bed residence time (ebrt) of 6#7 min and 1 g/l glucose as the carbon source#
