Post-combustion co2 capture using alkanolamine is an important method for reducing co2 emissions into the atmosphere# in this regard and among the alkanolamine solutions, monoethanolamine (mea) is the most appropriate solvent# this study presents the sensitivity analysis of the operating parameters which affect the performance of the co2 capture by mea, using response surface methodology# considering to the results, the lean solvent flow rate, amine concentration and stripper pressure affected on the outlet co2 purity more than the other factors# also, high energy requirement for solvent regeneration was studied# according to the obtained results, lean solvent flow rate and amine concentration have the greatest effect on the reboiler heat duty#
