چکیده    Storing hazardous substances is one of the most concern in chemical industries# liquefied petroleum gas (lpg) has been widely used due to its reasonable price, accessibility and high applicability# however, lpg characteristics including flammability and explosive might result in various consequences such as flash fire, explosion, bleve and pool fire# the major impacts originated from the lpg storage tanks could be also affected by operational and storage conditions# in order to approach to an inherently safer design (isd), it is vital to highlight the different aspects of the storage conditions# in this paper, a comparison between pressurized and refrigerant lpg storage tanks has been carried out using phast 7#2 software# prior to that, bow-tie analysis was performed to identify top events and the related barriers# the results indicated that through utilization of pressurized tanks, more severe consequences could occur and enhanced safety measures shall be required#
