In this study, a coconut oil-based alkyd resin was encapsulated into styrene acrylonitrile copolymer (san) as shell material using the coaxial electrospray method# chemical structure, size distribution and surface morphology of capsules were characterized by fourier transform infrared (ftir) spectroscopy, and field emission scanning electron microscopy (fe-sem), respectively# in addition, thermal stability of the prepared capsules was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (tga)# ftir test results proved no reaction between core and shell during the encapsulation# morphological studies showed the rough surface of capsules and electrosprayed capsules' mean diameter was about 700 nm which was obtained through fe-sem micrograph and imagej software# the tga results confirmed the presence of two components in the prepared capsules and the prepared capsules showed thermal stability up to 300 ˚c#
