In this study, a bubble column photobioreactor is used for cultivation of chlorella vulgaris micro-algae and co2 capture using bg11 culture media# to study the effect of light intensity on microalgae growth rate and carbon capture, different amount of light intensity was adjusted by one factor at a time# several florence lamp was used to applied different light intensity on the photobioreactor#according to the results, the optimum light intensity was 3000 lux for best microalgae growth rate and more carbon capture was achieved# therefore, the light intensity above 3000 lux does not result in the increasing of chlorella vulgaris growth rate#
