Trends of Scientific Articles Published By Iranian Chemical Engineering Researchers: Bibliometric Analysis

In this study a bibliometric analysis is carried out to quantitative and qualitative assessment of journal articles authored by researchers affiliated with institutes of chemical engineering in iran# the aim is to explore their research trends and activities and to figure out topic evolution during 2000-2018# in this way, the bibliometric data such as amount of articles, author keywords, and collaborative countries are extracted from scopus and journal citation reports® databases and analyzed using vosviewer and microsoft excel softwares# results based on 16,059 articles published in the determined period demonstrate that researches in chemical engineering institutes have increased sharply over the past years and it has led iran to be among the top 10 countries generating journal articles# as another result, it is revealed that “modeling”, “computer-based studies”, “adsorption”, and “kinetic studies” have received a lot of attention of iranian’s researchers# furthermore, the topics of “carbon dioxide”, “water treatment”, and “ionic liquids” tend to be the emerging area of special interest in the future# additional results for iranian chemical engineering researhers including top publishing journals, top institution, top internationally collaborative countries, and popular subject categories along with their analysis are presented in details#
