|
Limiting energy consumption increases the requirement for employing the systems with the reduction in energy consumption# therefore, non-pulsed conditions in pulsed extraction columns are critical in the operating state# the non-pulsed conditions in the disc and doughnut column showed that the dispersed phase holdup was very high under these conditions and the mixer-settler regime was dominant within the column# the variation in the regime and the reduction in dispersed phase holdup observed with the increment in pulse intensities# then, the dispersed phase holdup increased by the shifting from transition region to dispersion regime# the effects of aqueous phase velocity are negligible in non-pulsed conditions# the effects of organic phase velocity in both conditions increase the holdup of the dispersed phase and the reduction in slip velocity appears in the experiments#
