Adsorption is believed to be as a promising technology for efficient separation of propane/propylene mixture which is currently carried out by cryogenic distillation# in the present work, a powerful simulation package was developed using aspen adsorption™ software for simulation of propane/propylene separation process# for this purpose, breakthrough curve experimental data reported in literature was used to validate the simulation procedure# then, validated method was employed for simulation of vacuum pressure swing adsorption (vpsa) process in order to calculate the important process parameters such as product purity, recovery and productivity# obtained results show that the validated simulation package could predict the experimental data with the high accuracy and capability# moreover, developed method can be used to design and simulation of various process configurations to enhance the process efficiency#
