This study aimed to reduce the emission of a boiler using waste cooking oil biodiesel blended with different nanoparticles# the nanoparticles used in this study were cerium oxide and gamma alumina (ceo2 and al2o3) in three concentrations (25, 50 and 100 ppm) blended with waste cooking oil (wco) biodiesel# the effect of adding nanoparticles to the neat biodiesel was evaluated in a combustion system to reduce its emissions# for the experiments, a semi-industrial boiler and gas analyzer (testo 350z) were used to measure the amount of exhaust gas (co, co2 and nox)# experiments show that bdce100 (biodiesel containing 100 ppm cerium oxide) has the least co and nox emission in comparison with other samples# nanoparticles play the role of catalysts in the combustion process resulting in more complete combustion#
