   The Effect of Various Parameters on Decolorization of Reactive Red 33 By Light Extended Clay Aggregate (Leca) in Batch System

چکیده    The capability of light expanded clay aggragate (leca) as a low cost and green adsorbent for removal of reactive red 33 dye molecules from aqueous solution was investigated in batch system# the effect of various parameters such as ph, temperature, initial dye concentration and contact time were investigated to evaluate dye removal percentage and to find the optimum adsorption conditions# results showed that the maximum removal percentage was 84#64 at the optimum operational conditions initial dye concentration of 20 ppm, ph of 2 and tempereture of 20°c at the contact time of 180 min as the obtained equilibrium time# for determination the structure of adsorbent, some analysez like: bet, zeta potential, xrf and fesem were carried out# the results confirmed capability of leca in removal of reactive red 33 dye#
