|
One of the most important problems in compressors is the formation of hydrates and their impact on the surfaces of the compressor blades resulting in damage to the compressor# in this study, using computational fluid dynamics, the amount of stress applied to the surfaces of centrifugal compressor blades by liquid droplets is investigated# the commercial software ansys fluent is used for this modeling# the compressor was simulated using the euler-lagrange perspective at an angular velocity of 18300 rpm at four droplet concentrations of 0#01, 0#03, 0#05 and 0#07# the simulation results showed that by increasing the liquid molar fraction by 0#01, 0#03, 0#05 and 0#07, the stress on the blade increased by 0#17, 0#32, 0#40 and 0#89 percent, respectively, without the presence of droplets
