چکیده
|
This study shows the research results on the synthesis, characterization, and structure-properties relationship of a sulfonated polysulfone based on a bulky aliphatic-aromatic diol# the electrophilic substitution reaction was used to synthesize the sulfonated monomer# the nucleophilic aromatic substitution together with a coupling step was used to prepare random polymers with 30, 40, and 50% degree of sulfonation# the prepared membranes of the polymers showed excellent film-ability# high thermal and mechanical stability of membranes ascribed to the presence of rigid aromatic sections# temperature and relative humidity dependent impedance of membranes revealed high conductivity due to the structural benefit# in brief, the results confirmed the applicability of the membranes for application as fuel cell membranes#
