چکیده    Elemental sulfur is one of the most widely used material in various industries and agriculture# in gas refineries of south pars gas complex (spgc), after converting hydrogen sulfide to liquid sulfur in sulfur recovery units (sru), to facilitate storage, transfer, and for specific applications as well as international standards, liquid sulfur is converted to solid form in various processes# due to difficulties in the process, since startup of unit, size of produced granules has not been standard# so in this study, first process parameters affecting the size of the granules has been discussed# given the number and diversity of parameters affecting the product and unit, to reduce the time and cost of testing, the taguchi method and analysis of variances was used to optimize the process and investigate the effect of parameters# drum rotary speed (85%), the amount of sulfur pump speed (75%), the amount of water (0#53m3/hr), sulfur temperature (137°c) and fan rotary speed (55% or 65%) were identified as optimum parameters, and to demonstrate the results and effectiveness of the taguchi method, particle size distribution of granules in optimum conditions was predicted, and the amount of 40#03% was obtained# the results showed that the granulation drum has a significant impact on the size of produced granules# it was found that the amount of water had very little effect on granule diameter#
