چکیده    The application of disc and doughnut extraction columns has been increased in different industries due to their advantages# the column conditions affect the operating streams, and the droplet diameter is an important parameter that changes with the pulse and non-pulse conditions in these columns# the performance of the column with the water-toluene system showed that under non-pulse conditions, the dispersed phase velocity affects the droplet sizes inside the column# the decrease in droplet size occurs with the increment in the dispersed phase velocity in non-pulse conditions# but continuous phase velocity does not affect the drop sizes# in pulsed conditions, the amplitude of variations in different pulses is the most critical factor in the type of regime and droplet size#
