چکیده    Microencapsulated palmitic acid with titanium dioxide shell was synthesized by a sol-gel method in the ph value of 9-10# in this study, investigated the effect of different titania precursors on encapsulation ratio and encapsulation efficiency# tetra-n-butyl titanate and titanium tetra isopropoxide as precursors were used that the encapsulation ratio was 53#557 and 73#041 and also the encapsulation efficiency between 54#058 and 70#942# the chemical structure and thermal properties were determined by fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (ftir) and differential scanning calorimeter (dsc)# the results demonstrated that palmitic acid was well microencapsulated in titania shell# based on the results palmitic acid microcapsules are good materials for thermal energy storage at 50-60 ° c#
