چکیده

Fabrication of skin substitutes to accomplish both aesthetic and functional demands is vital for patients with acute and chronic wounds as well as burn injuries# accordingly, this work aimed to prepare a new silk fibroin–gelatin (sf–g) hybrid scaffold as a controlled release system and a transplantation vehicle for seeded adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (amscs)# the effect of sf: g fibers volume ratio on the different properties of sf–g hybrid scaffolds were evaluated# physical, mechanical, and biological characterization of the prepared scaffolds demonstrated that physical and mechanical properties of sf–g fibrous scaffolds enhanced significantly and a suitable sf: g fibers volume ratio for further investigation is 60:40# moreover, the release study of bovine serum albumin (bsa) and simvastatin (sim)-loaded scaffolds indicated that in addition to the physicochemical properties of these two substances, the type of fiber and hybrid structure of the scaffold has a vital role in their release behavior# also, the cell analysis exhibited suitable biocompatibility of sf–g hybrid scaffolds and promising potential of these fibrous scaffolds as new candidates in biomedical engineering applications#
