   synthesis the activated carbon from olive kernels for the adsorption of methylene blue in the aqueous solutions: isothermic, and thermodynamic study

چکیده    In the present study, olive kernels as an agricultural solid waste were applied for the preparation of the magnetic activated carbon by chemical activation using zinc chloride as a chemical agent for the removal of methylene blue from the wastewater# the magnetizing of activated carbon was also conducted by using co-precipitation method in the presence of hydrazine# the magnetic activated carbon was characterized by the general tests including xrd, fesem and bet# xrd result indicated the formation of two various iron oxides consisting of magnetite and hematite crystallites with size of below 40 nm# mesoporous structure of prepared sample was also evaluated by employing fesem and bet analysis# the surface area of magnetic adsorbent was investigated ot be 472 m2/g# the equilibrium isotherm data indicated that the adsorption of methylene blue was proportional to the langmuir equation# the maximum adsorption was also measured to be 46#08 mg/g that shows the appropriate performance of synthesized magnetic adsorbent# thermodynamic study was also carried out and the enthalpy was calculated 73#87 kjmol-1 in the various adsorption temperature#
