   Influence of the Preparation Methods on the Activity and Stability of the Ni Based Catalysts For Methane Dry Reforming

چکیده    In this study, methane dry reforming (mdr) reaction was studied over the ni-mgo-al2o3 and ni/mgal2o4 catalysts with 12#5 wt#% ni and different preparation methods for the production of synthesis gas# the prepared samples were characterized by x-ray diffraction (xrd), n2 adsorption/desorption (bet), temperature programmed raduction and oxidation (tpr and tpo), and scanning electron microscopy (sem) techniques# the synthesized catalysts showed high specific surface area and high catalytic activity in mdr process# the obtained results revealed that the ni-mgo-al2o3 prepared by co-precipitation method was suitable for mdr process due to the high activity and stability# however the whisker type carbon formed over this catalyst doesn’t cause deactivation during the reaction#
