چکیده    The purpose of this study was manufacturing microencapsulated phase change material (mpcm) as the thermal energy storage material, containing paraffin wax with polyurethane (pu) shell# the microcapsules were synthesized using three stages of the pcm surface modification, the preparation of modified-paraffin wax nanoparticles via the new method, and the microencapsulation process of pcm through the interfacial polymerization# the chemical structure, morphology, and thermal properties of the modified-nanoparticles and microcapsules were characterized according to the fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ftir), field emission scanning electron microscopy (fesem), and differential scanning calorimetry (dsc), respectively# all of the results showed that the microcapsules of the modified paraffin wax with pu shell were synthesized successfully and the melting/crystallization enthalpy of pcm into the microcapsules were measure 38/38#9 j/g, and the mean particle diameter of microcapsules were calculated from 2 to 4 #
