Investigating the Steam Absorption By Diluted Libr Aqueous Solution

The operation of absorption chillers significantly depends on the performance of lithium bromide – water solution in absorbing the generated steam# hence, in the current study an experimental setup was tailored to study the dilution effect (from 53% to almost 5%) on the absorption rate# this setup mimicked the vacuum condition in the absorption chamber of the aforementioned chillers# in order to record the dynamics of the absorption, data acquisition over time was done for both temperature, pressure, and libr concentration# the results revealed that by diluting the libr to almost 5% the absorption rate can increase by 29%# moreover the variation in the pressure and temperature could clearly reflect three stages during the experiments#
