an ontological structure for enterprise-wide optimization of supply chain problems

In this paper an ontology for enterprise-wide optimization of supply chain problems is presented# noy and mcguinness methodology was employed and several knowledge sources were exploited in development of the ontology# uml was used as development language to facilitate understanding of the ontological structure and increase its reusability# the developed ontological structure was assessed via an integrated energy network case study consists of several energy resources, conversion technologies and demands# analysis indicated that the concepts and relations framed in the ontology are able to demonstrate the complicated relationships among specific energy resources, technologies and demands existing in the energy network#
