Membrane bioreactors (mbrs) are promising means for re-using and reclaiming the grey water sources# the importance of this technology is highly pronounced when the water scarcity is taken into account# commercialization of mbr technology highly depends on the correct handling of the microorganisms which are responsible for the biological treatment in the activated sludge# therefore in this study, we report our attempts to find the shortest possible adaptation time in the initial loading phase of activated sludge in our mbr set-up# additionally we present the results of microscopic identification of their microorganisms, and the performance test for tolerating the ph variation#
