Removal of acid gases such as co2 and h2s from natural gas and co2 capturing are among the major steps in the gas industry that also affect the environment# over decades, alkanolamines have been widely used for gas sweetening processes; however, along with the chemical solvent, a physical solvent has often been used to intensify the kinetics absorption of carbon dioxide# in this work, we obtained new experimental vapor-liquid equilibrium data for co2 solubility in mdea + aeea + sulfolane + water with the compositions of (20-10-20-50 wt#%) and (20-10-10-60 wt#%) respectively, within the temperature of 313#15 and 343#15 k and the co2 partial pressures of 100-5300 kpa# the results show that for both compositions, by increasing temperature the loading of co2 was reduced at a fixed partial pressure of co2# moreover, the present findings showed that co2 solubility was enhanced by increasing sulfolane concentration# however, at low acid gas loading, the co2 loading was reduced by enhancing the sulfolane concentration#
