چکیده    Sulfur compounds combustion in transportation fuels is one of the main reasons for air pollution# adsorptive desulfurization using zeolites as adsorbents is an effective method for sulfur removal due to economically beneficial and environment-friendly# two essential challenges in adsorptive desulfurization are capacity and selectivity# mesoporosity was introduced in the hzsm-5 zeolites by the desilication method to increase the zeolite adsorption capacity and provide better access to internal sites# the bet results demonstrated that high surface area up to 354#37 m2/g1 and mesostructure generated under the conditions of pure naoh and mixture of tpaoh/naoh, 2#5 hr, and 75 °c# according to experimental results, the sulfur adsorption capacities of samples increase in the order of parent < ath-0r < ath-0#4r# the results of this study proved that mesoporosity reduces the micropore diffusion, facilitates access to internal zeolite cavities, and consequently improves the capacity for sulfur compounds#
