بررسی اثر فعالیت های تروریستی بر تقاضای گردشگری در کشورهای منتخب غرب آسیا

صنعت گردشگری به‌عنوان یکی از عوامل دست‎یابی به رشد و توسعه اقتصادی مطرح است لکن فعالیت های تروریستی ازراه، آسیب‌رسانی به زیرساخت‌ها و منابع فیزیکی و انسانی و نیز اثرات غیر مستقیم ازجمله کاهش میل به سرمایه گذاری داخلی و خارجی، افزایش هزینه تجارت و تضعیف آن، تشدید عدم قطعیت، امنیتی‌ترشدن فضا و افزایش مخارج نظامی و امنیتی و... منجر به خسارت به صنعت گردشگری یک کشور می شود. هدف این مطالعه بررسی اثر فعالیت های تروریستی بر تقاضای گردشگری در کشورهای منتخب غرب آسیا، طی دوره زمانی 2019-1990 به روش پانل دیتا است. نتایج پژوهش نشان داد اثر حوادث تروریستی بر تقاضای گردشگری منفی و معنی دار است در این حال، هر چه در کشوری تعداد تلفات تروریستی بیشتر باشد، شاهد کاهش تعداد گردشگران بین‌المللی ورودی به آن کشور هستیم؛ زیرا محیط‌ هایی که امنیت روانی و جانی گردشگران در آن‎ها حفظ شود مطلوبیت بیشتری را نصیب گردشگران کرده، در اولویت انتخاب آن‌ها برای سفر قرار می گیرند.

investigating the effect of terrorist activities on tourism demand in selected middle eastern countries

the tourism is considered as one of the factors of achieving economic growth and development, but terrorist activities through damage to the infrastructure, and physical and human resources as well as indirect effects such as reducing the desire to foreign and domestic invest, increasing the cost of trade and weakening it, intensifying uncertainty, making space more secure and increasing military and security expenses, etc., lead to damage to the tourism industry of a country. the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of terrorist activities on tourism demand in selected west asian countries during the period of 19902019 using panel data. the results showed that the effect of terrorist incidents on tourism demand is negative and significant. meanwhile, the more terrorist casualties in a country, the lower the number of international tourists entering that country, because the societies in which psychological and life security of tourists are preserved, they will be more beneficial to tourists, and they will be the priority of their choice for travel.
