Propylene, as the backbone of the petrochemical industry, is the second largest raw material of the petrochemical industry in terms of global consumption (after ethylene has the highest consumption of polymer-based products). at the end of 2018, the global capacity of propylene was about 128 million tons and an output of 105 million tons. in fact, the average global production efficiency is 82%. in this manuscript, the conceptual design of propane dehydrogenation is studied. the mathematical calculation of various equipment and economic analysis were carried out, the results show that the return on investment is about 50% and the project is fully justified economically. the total product cost and depreciated cost and are 358669212$ and 2957718$/yr, respectively. it is highly recommended to study this plan in detail, considering the current situation in iran in terms of production of oil derivatives.
