application of ai in oil & gas industries

Artificial intelligence (ai) has been recently used in many areas and numerous scientists have chosen it due to its future direction potential. oil and gas industries (ogi) are among the most important fields in chemical engineering and engineers face various challenges and complexities in this field. it involves many processes and stakeholders, each generating a huge amount of data. traditional methods for solving problems in ogi have not always been precise and sometimes using them might be even an arduous task. therefore, ai is suggested to be applied in this field in order to help engineers to tackle these complex tasks. it is worth to mention some of the ai-based work reports and their applications including oilfield production dynamic prediction, developing plan optimization and fracture detection. machine learning (ml) which is one of the subcategories of ai, has been very helpful in this field.
