modern technology development process in architecture

After industrial revolution, technology, as a growing and powerful instrument in the hand of architects and engineers, has ever made their ideation much closer to the reality. the development of this matter has gone as far that it has changed the advent of “high-tech” of technology to the extreme of architecture. but, the nature-conflicting essence of technology has made environmentalists greatly anxious and resulted in the formation of new majors. in this line, the present article trying to investigate the state of technology development in architecture has studied its different dimensions in the building. the research type is descriptive and analytical and the method of data collection is library research. the research results indicate that the significance of the structure display has had an increasing trend till the advent of “high-tech” style, and then it has been decreased due to the reasons stated before, and since 90th decades of the 20th century, it has had a constant trend. glass and steel are still more important in facade, however steel has been used much more than glass in the late 20th century and early 21st century. the application of shell construction system has also gone through an increasing trend.
